Amazon.com has revealed plans to host a two-day shopping extravaganza called “Prime Big Deals Day” on October 10 and 11, in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season. This event follows the success of the summer Prime Day sale that was held on July 11 and 12.
In 2022, Amazon held similar events during the same time frame, with last year’s October event being named the “Prime Early Access Sale.”
In an exciting development, Amazon has extended the scope of Prime Day sales this year to include some of its partners who utilize the company’s Buy with Prime feature. By doing so, these partners can offer their customers free shipping and other benefits. Shoppers can already get a sneak peek at some of the amazing Prime Day offers on Amazon’s website.
These announcements come at a time when Amazon’s online-store business is experiencing a resurgence after a few lackluster quarters. During the June quarter, online sales amounted to an impressive $53 billion, marking a 4% increase from the previous year. Analysts’ forecasts, as tracked by FactSet, predict that online-store revenue for the September quarter, which includes the highly anticipated Prime Day, will reach $56.7 billion, reflecting a 6.1% year-on-year growth.
As of Monday, Amazon’s stock dipped by 0.5% to $139.65. However, overall, the stock has soared by an impressive 67% this year.
